Bubbl.us is a website used for brainstorming. Brainstorming is great way to figure out ideas for projects, papers, and various other things. This is commonly done in all classrooms, but it is mainly done on paper. This website allows you to brainstorm, and acts as a tree as it branches off into different areas to link ideas to other ideas. This is great for teachers and students because teachers could figure out ideas for the class, while students could use it for group projects or many other things. Although this is a great website, the only thing you can really do on here is brainstorm, that is why I rank it third.

TimeGlider is a website used to create timelines. I am amazed at the amount of detail you can put into a timeline on this website. You can create a timeline for anyone or anything, and at each date, have links that pull up in depth information on the subject. This would be great for teachers to use for presentations, but also for students to use as projects. I would rank this second because it is a great way to do projects, but it is helpful to both teachers and students.

Sliderocket is a new tool that is used to make advanced presentations. There are so many things you can do with this, and many businesses use this for big presentations. This would be good for teachers to use for many aspects of teaching, but it may be a little too advanced for students in high school. I would rank this fourth because this too difficult for most high schoolers to use.

Jing is great for high school students. It is an online conversation with others, and you can share pictures or information with whoever you want. Teachers could use it to let students know information, and students could use it to stay in touch with their friends, and share pictures or even homework with them. I rank Jing number one because today high schoolers love to stay in touch with each other constantly, and this is a way to share fun ideas, pictures, or just have a conversation with one another.
After reviewing all of the websites analyzed, I believe I would use my number one choice, Jing, the most. I enjoy this website because it allows interaction between not only the teacher and student, but from student to student. I can see my self utilizing this website in my high school classroom because I could post homework assignments on there, and students would be allowed to ask questions about the homework either to me or to their fellow students. A second way I could use it would be by posting pictures of examples of ways previous students accomplished assignments. This is an easy way to connect with the students outside the classroom, just in case I forgot to mention or show something in class. A final way I would use this would be to post upcoming assignments, events, or tests. This will allow students to know ahead of time any assignments that they were previously unaware of. There are various advantages to this website. A teacher can connect easily with their students outside the classroom, and it also allows the students to be in contact with each other, this is a fun way to connect and will keep the students interested. The only disadvantage I can think of would be students getting off topic and using it as a chat room instead of a classroom tool. Besides this, I believe this is a great classroom tool.
